Okay, this park was random. I had driven by a huge park the other day and thought we might picnic there for Mother's Day. However, upon arriving, we found that the huge park, Faversham Park, was actually a City of Westminster Park and decided to look for another one. (Nothing against Westminster, but we want to visit our own city parks first because they use our tax dollars) Ironically, Arvada's Hillside Park is actually on top of a hill overlooking Faversham Park. I had never seen it listed on an Arvada Map, but we just happend to stumble on it while driving away from Faversham Park.
It is probably a good thing its not on a map. Its small, very peaceful and has a great southern view of the front range and the city skyline. Too many people would like ruin the setting. It has a playground, one picnic tabel and some really neat gnarly old trees. It sits hidden from, but adjacent to, Faversham Park which has baseball fields, basketball courts, a huge playground, a fishing lake etc...
